Promontory house fire quickly doused by firefighters
A house fire on Promontory Road early Monday was quickly knocked down by Chilliwack firefighters.
Two elderly occupants inside were not injured by the fire that broke out in the ranch-style, single-family home in the 6000-block Promontory Road at about 7:40 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under routine investigation and is not considered suspicious.
A garden shed was also damaged in the fire, and there was some "slight" damage to the vinyl siding of a neighbouring house.
