Chilliwack Crusaders to take on Axemen Rugby Club in semis

The Crusaders look to book their first trip to the finals since 2015

The Chilliwack Crusaders are off to the semis

Following their victory over the Brit Lions on Saturday at Yarrow Sports Field, the Chilliwack Crusaders rugby team will make their second straight appearance in the Men’s Division 3 semi-final game

The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead with a try from scrum-half Tyrone Brown, before letting the Lions pull within reaching distance midway through the second half.

Chilliwack was able to shut the door in the final minutes though to hold on for the 43-27 win.

8-man Colton Derouin iced the game with a late score with the rest of the tries coming from Leki Palaiti, Aaron Solomonsz, and Andy Fourie.

With the win, the Crusaders will take on the Axemen Rugby Club based out of the Sea to Sky Corridor. The game will once again be at 12:45 p.m. this Saturday, April 27, at Yarrow Sports Field, at 3635 Savoy Road in Chilliwack.
