The Chilliwack Rotary Outdoor Book Sale was a huge hit on Saturday.
The annual one-day, which started in the summer of 2020 as a way to bring a fresh supply of books to readers during COVID, took place at in the parking lot behind the Rotary Building on Wolfe Road on Aug. 26.
A total of $36,000 was raised from the single-day event.
All the money raised goes to support Rotary projects such as the Rotary Trail, scholarships for Chilliwack students, “Feed the Kids” program, and other community initiatives.

People are now gearing up for the Rotary Club of Chilliwack’s indoor book sale. The 39th annual event is Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 at Chilliwack Heritage Park.
