Traffic slowed down to a halt between Chilliwack and Abbotsford on Wednesday afternoon, after a car caught fire in the eastbound lane.
One lane was blocked as fire crews raced to the scene to put the fire out.
Leanna Maxina was traveling by the fire as it was at its height. She said she could feel the heat from the fire inside her own car. The car was being towed by a tow truck when it caught fire.
“Unreal,” she said.
