Chilliwack firefighters called to camper fully engulfed in flames

Blaze happened at Young and Airport roads in Chilliwack

Firefighters were called to a camper on fire in Chilliwack Wednesday afternoon.

The call came in around 4:50 p.m. on Jan. 10 for the blaze which happened at Young and Airport roads.

Before members of the Chilliwack Fire Department arrived on scene they reported seeing black smoke in the area.

One minute later they were at the fire and stated the camper, which had no vehicle attached to it, was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was knocked down within less than five minutes.

Traffic was backed up in the area as a result.
