Elements Casino Chilliwack officials said they were “proud” to present the Knight Road Legacy Association with a cheque for $925,495.

“These funds will benefit 47 local charities throughout Chilliwack, and neighbouring communities,” said casino officials in an announcement April 29.

Elements Casino Chilliwack and Knight Road Legacy Association signed a 20-year agreement in 2012 that secured the association a long-term share of gaming revenues based on the casino’s annual performance.

Since 2013, the local casino has handed over a total of $5.2 million in trailing payments to the association, which represents 47 charitable and non-profit organizations in the Chilliwack area.

The Knight Road Legacy Association was the original owner and operator of Chilliwack Bingo.
