Golf tourney celebrates a life
The Al Newby Memorial Golf Tournament takes place at Cultus Lake Golf Course Aug 2. The Texas Scramble tournament costs $60 and includes BBQ lunch and prizes. Following the tournament, family and friends of Alan Newby are invited to attend a celebration of life ceremony at his Cultus Lake home. The service, officiated by Gordon Newby, will begin at 4 pm with a pot-luck BBQ to follow and live entertainment. For info contact Glenda Standeven 604-792-6638.
