Mural project ready to be signed at celebration
The mural painted on the northeast wall of Prospera Centre Chilliwack is now ready to be signed by all the project participants.
Artists from the Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association spent weeks on the colourful project, under the guidance of artist John Le Flock.
The new mural highlights a message of safety and inclusiveness during physical activity, and all of the figures have helmets on and are wearing safety equipment.
"We're almost there," said Esther Tremblay, case manager with FVBIA, about the Pay It Forward project.
A mural signing session for the artists is set for Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the mural site, and the public is invited to attend.
"Everyone who has worked on the mural will be there sign it," she added.
A celebratory cake will be shared to mark the completion of the project, Tremblay said.
