B.C. painter Stephen Dobson has a solo show at the Chilliwack Museum Jan. 14 to Feb. 23.

Self-taught artist Stephen Dobson of Mission can always find something fresh to paint in the beautiful Fraser Valley.

His show Reflections of B.C.'s West Coast opens at the Chilliwack Museum on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Manchester-born Dobson is a very prolific artist who developed a signature style early in his career and was invited to join the Stave Falls Artist Group, becoming one of its original members.

He works mainly with oil paint, and strives to find light and colour with confident brushwork employing both pallet knives and his fingers to paint.

The show at the museum runs until Feb. 23, with the opening reception set for January 14 from noon to 2 p.m. at Chilliwack Museum Chambers Gallery - 45820 Spadina Avenue. Open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
