Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is coming to Sardis secondary. The classic holiday story will be performed by a cast of 40 students Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.

Most of the students are from Sardis secondary, but they have brought in a dozen younger actors from Chilliwack middle and elementary schools as well.

Tyson Trousdell plays humbug Ebenezer Scrooge. Tiny Tim is played by Tyson elementary student Alea Friesen, and the role of Bob Cratchit is played by Spencer Woyke (below).

The production also features a full pit orchestra from Sardis secondary.

A Christmas Carol is Sardis secondary’s 22 musical. The school typically does one musical and one smaller play each school year.

Show dates for A Christmas Carol are Nov. 29 to Dec. 3 every night at 7 p.m., plus a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Dec. 3.

All tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the school (45460 Stevenson Rd.) or at London Drugs in Cottonwood Mall. For more info, call the school at 604-858-9424.
