Arborists from around the province gathered in Chilliwack on Saturday to test their tree-climbing skills at the 18th annual BC Tree Climbing Championships at UFV Chilliwack campus.
Four women and 12 men competitors joined about 30 volunteers to decide who would take home winning honours in the skills, speed and safety-focused events.
Though the event has been in Agassiz in the past, this is the first time the climbers have come to Chilliwack for the challenge.
