A cycling fundraiser for Ruth and Naomi’s (RAN) will be rolling through the streets of Chilliwack on Sept. 18.

The fifth annual Ride 4 RAN event will raise money for the essential services that RAN Mission offers to the community. RAN supports individuals and families in Chilliwack who are struggling through poverty, homelessness and addiction.

There are three different routes in Ride 4 RAN: 25-kilometre, 50-kilometre and 100-kilometre.

Cyclists will be starting and finishing their ride at Atchelitz Park (6542 Lickman Rd.) on Saturday, Sept. 18.

The fundraiser goal is set at $50,000 and as of Aug. 27, nearly $15,000 had been raised.

Folks can sign up as individuals, create a team, or join a team that has already signed up. A T-shirt and food are included in the registration fee. To register for Ride 4 RAN and to donate, go to ranmission.ca.
