People will be driving through a winter wonderland in Chilliwack this holiday season.
Southside Church has created a free drive-thru Christmas light display which is open to the public Dec. 19 to 23.
The Wonder Christmas Light Drive-Thru event will take people through festive landscapes created by thousands of lights.
“Wonder is determined to bring the community together and light up Chilliwack this Christmas,” Southside Church wrote on Facebook.
When people enter, they can tune in to Wonder FM, the church’s own holiday radio station.
In the illuminated wonderland, vehicles will pass through a dazzling 200-foot light tunnel, and weave through the towering candy cane lane right to the North Pole where people can keep an eye out for Santa and his elves.
Outside the North Pole, folks will find themselves in the enchanted light forest featuring a three-storey tall Christmas tree.
“Word on the street is that you’ll see it from space,” Southside Church said.
The Wonder Christmas Light Drive-Thru event is at Southside Church (45636 South Sumas Rd.) from Dec. 19 to 23 (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
Admission is free and they will be collecting non-perishable items for the Salvation Army food bank. For more, go to southsidelife.com.
