Chilliwack Progress photographer, reporter up for national awards

Progress photographer Jenna Hauck and sports writer Eric Welsh have been nominated for three Canadian Community Newspaper Awards.

Hauck is up for best photo illustration (pictured above), and best spot news photo coverage for her image of a fatal car crash on Highway 1 at the Vedder Canal.

Welsh has been nominated in the best feature series award category for his four-part story on teenage cancer survivor, Kyle Lorteau.

Winners will be announced on April 26, at the CCNA awards gala in Toronto.
