Garage sale Saturday to benefit Ann Davis

It's a chance to do some spring cleaning and donate gently used furniture and household items for a good cause.

It's the National Garage Sale for Shelter May 11 on Young Road, with all proceeds to the Ann Davis Transition Society.

"This is our annual fundraiser in conjunction with our national association," said Kyle Hyslop, sales manager at Royal LePage/Wheeler Cheam Realty.

Royal LePage Shelter Foundation has raised more than $12 million to help women and children, and the event slogan is "put abuse out of commission."

It's the fifth year of the Garage Sale.

"The community really comes together each year with so many giving of their time and resources for this event."

Face painting, flower sales, a hot dog BBQ and a visit from Chief Wannawin are part of the fun, from 9 a.m . to 2 p.m. #8 - 8337 Young Road.

To donate items call 604-792-0077, and for more info go to www.royallepage.ca/shelter
